MEET YOUR PARTNER
Hello! I'm Mo Lashendock...
Mo Lashendock is an executive coach and search consultant who has partnered with senior leaders at renowned higher education institutions and mission driven organizations for over two decades. Her approach is simple and straightforward: engage fully, listening and contributing in equal measure; lead with honesty, even when the message is difficult to deliver or tough to receive; and persevere, because staying the course brings clarity and unexpected success.
As Founder of True Partners, Mo unites her approach and extensive experience with a steadfast passion for guiding and mentoring leaders in both her search and coaching practices. Her firm is small by design, allowing her to bring her expertise to executive search and coaching in a uniquely meaningful and personalized way. What really excites her about this work is that she often bears witness to people realizing their dreams, thriving in their environments, and coming into success in remarkable ways.

Prior to founding True Partners, Mo served as Principal and Vice President of Executive Search at Koya Leadership Partners and Brill Neumann Associates, where she collaborated on and led searches identifying top talent and providing strategic guidance in organizational and professional development. Mo has partnered with senior leaders on both the academic and administrative side of the house and has focused on the areas of information technology; academic research libraries; finance administration; diversity, equity, and inclusion; facilities; academic leadership; and human resources. Her work spans from small private liberal arts colleges to large research universities. Representative clients include Hamilton College, Villanova University, Trinity College, Ohio University, Swarthmore College, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Mo’s career in higher education began as a recruiter and academic advisor for Saint Mary’s College; first in Moraga, California, and then later in Minneapolis, Minnesota. From the very beginning, Mo has anchored her process in mentorship and identifying paths to success for students, candidates, and clients.
Mo studied Psychology and Sociology while earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University. She is active in her community and loves spending time with friends and family, which include her twins and ridiculously spoiled lab, Tucket. She is curious about the world around her and loves to travel. Closer to home, she would describe herself as a bike-rider, beach-lover, and book-reader.
